Are you like me and curious about ALL THE THINGS?

Simple Definition of KALEIDOSCOPE

: A tube that has mirrors and loose pieces of colored glass or plastic inside at one end so that you see many different patterns when you turn the tube while looking in through the other end

: A changing pattern or scene

: A mixture of many different things

Welcome friends! My name is Kellie and I am an East Coast transplant currently living in the Denver, Colorado area. My husband and I moved here fairly spontaneously due to this incessant wild hair that neither of us could seem to tame no matter how much of that Carolina Frizz Ease we piled on it. After he landed a job here, we took off with our pets and arrived at our new rental home in colorful Colorado on January 1st, just in time to reflect on 1600 miles worth of life changes (and listening to the Serial podcast for the second time) and daydreams about our new adventures! Because my and my family’s interests constantly continue to develop, grow, and collect, I found a kaleidoscope to be a beautifully perfect description for the evolution of my life experiences and skills. It’s a “mixture of many different things”, alright, and I plan to bring them to you here!

In light of my new endeavors, location and ambitions, I decided to establish this outlet as a place to share with others the fruits of my creative juices, the adventures that a person can only experience in the Great State of Colorado and my lifestyle decisions that happen to intertwine with the cloud of hilarity that I carry around with me religiously. It is the one thing I can depend on to keep me company when I have left my cell phone at the restaurant and locked my keys in my car…

Side note: This is not an exaggeration in the least. It happened just a few weeks ago…

I have been the person wandering around the darkest corners of the Internet, looking for advice on spray paint, new recipes to try, or how to realistically check off items on your bucket list. Okay, maybe I wasn’t Googling my bucket list but rather got sidetracked on the millions of ways that a person might need to use a bucket, but if this curious person is you and you simply want to make a new, healthy meal, are searching for how to make a mudroom in your rental space, or want a good belly laugh at a real human experiencing surreal hilarity, the Kurious Kaleidoscope is for you!

My husband and I do strive to learn everything we can about a plethora of topics to experience and share with you, some of which include gardening, home projects restricted to a rental lease (for now), cooking and recipes, travel and adventure, and science. I hope to assist along the way in serving as hilarious and continuous inspiration to seize the day, a ray of light and laughter, as well as a reminder to remain positive throughout your trials because ultimately, as my mother always tells me, “the Universe is on your side.” Please subscribe or come back often as we have many ideas in the works that we hope will help inspire your own projects, and we have many, many stories to tell!

Carpe diem!

Seize the carp.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

OMG, just read the Behind the Lens blog!!! When did this get posted? I never saw it! It was your best one. I loved this–funny and touching–and a bit more revealing about you and Sammy–maybe more info than I need but….truly a great post. Thanks for sharing yourself with us–I love my sweet kid who believes in hard work!

It’s been up there for a while! Yes – very revealing, but funny all the same. Glad you liked it 🙂
